Winter Break Housing
Overview
Campus Living & Learning recognizes some residents require on-campus housing over the winter break period. Brooks Flats, North Village (Heritage, Texana, and University Houses), and University Parks remain open for their current residents throughout the winter break. All other residential communities are closed. Residents who stay over winter break should note:
- Registration is required, though there is no additional charge
- Guests and visitation are not permitted
- University services are limited and most campus facilities are closed
Winter Break Housing Options
The following communities remain open for their current residents during the winter break period. Students who require on campus housing over the winter break period should preference one of these communities on their housing application.
- Brooks Flats - Business & Innovation LLC
- Heritage House - Fine Arts LLC
- Texana House - First-Year and Upper-Division Community (female only)
- University House - First-Year and Upper-Division Community (female only)
- University Parks - Upper-Division Community
2026 - 2027 Winter Break Period
- Last Day of Fall 2026 Final Exams: Wednesday, December 16
- Winter Break Housing Period Begins: Thursday, December 17 at 12 pm*
- Winter Break Housing Period Ends: Thursday, January 14 at 9 am**
- First Day of Spring 2027 Classes: Tuesday, January 19
* Students participating in commencement may stay in their community until Saturday, December 19 at 2 pm.
** Women participating in sorority recruitment may return to their community on Sunday, January 10 at 3 pm.
