Traditional Annual Events hosted by RHA
Treat Night
Participating halls decorate their floors, dress up in costumes and pass out candy for the children and grandchildren of Baylor faculty & staff members. Monetary and canned good donations are collected during the event and given to Caritas, a local non-profit charity organization that provides food, clothing, household items and travel to those in need.
Homecoming Plank Competition
Each hall paints a wooden pallet with the opposing team's mascot or similar image to show Baylor's dominance on the football field. These are completed prior to the bonfire in order that current students may vote on their favorite pallet and alumni may enjoy each display. The winning hall receives a pizza party while the winning pallet (and all others) are used to help kindle the flames of the bonfire.
The Amazing Race Prize Event
Teams of 5 made up of on-campus residents compete in an Amazing Race style competition around campus on the night before DIA. The top 3 teams receive Baylor-inspired prizes.
